Yebobaba is a social enterprise established by Michael Sexton in 2016, aiming to address the energy and water insecurity in sub-Saharan Africa. I worked with 8 students to help Michael develop an elliptical vehicle that can transport heavy objects and generate electricity while in motion so that rural communities in Africa have a reliable and independent method to access water and electricity. My team developed a belt-driven system that integrates the crankset, the front wheel, and a car alternator that will be driven to generate electricity.
